Hadara's focus is concentrated in the basics, i.e., posture, strong arms and an understanding of the musculature involved in bellydance movement.

"Where did my shimmy go??"
Have you ever been dancing and all of a sudden your shimmy either disappears or becomes a shudder? One hip is doing fine while the other is just not paying attention? This class gets down to the basics of walking properly, correct rolling of the hips and internal focus on hip musculature needed for a strong, even shimmy.
"Hefty, Hefty, Hefty vs. Wimpy, Wimpy, Wimpy"
Arms can be the hardest element of belly dance. Often dancers have trouble keeping the arms elevated while isolating other movments as well as exhibiting "pretty arms"... the light and airy/energetic arms. Learn how to avoid the limp and lifeless arms, the tyrranysaurus rex and the overly excited, flapping in the breeze arms!
"You too can have Goth attitude"
You do not have to be a card carrying member of the goth subculture to put on a "dark fusion" performance. Learn how get inside that gothy feeling and exude dark soulfulness. Focus will be on facial expression, broadstrock movements and floor patterns with apurpose.

Choreography can often be the bane of an improv dancer's existence. Where do you start? How complex should it be? In this class you will learn tips and tricks to make this process easier! You will also develop your own choreo to a short piece of music!
