Yard Gnome Productions™ is a group of traveling performance artists/ friends who share a common love of dance, music, and all things nerd. We all come from a traditional background but have expanded our creativity to bring to Conventions a show and presence that not only reflects our own eccentric personalities but can reach other individuals that flock together in this unique and accepting environment.
What we have to offer for your Con:
Performance: YGP consists of many types of performers including but not limited to: Bellydancers, live musicians, fire, hoop, poi, and staff dancers. We have a constant flow of entertainers that rotate in and out throughout the year to continuously offer a fresh variety of entertainment. There are many different types of bellydance such as tribal, cabaret, goth and others. YGP offers your Con our own special style of Geek Fusion. Our shows are specifically tailored to be Con friendly where the audience will be quick to recognize our own interpretation of pop culture. The costuming, music, and themes are geared to reach all genres of fandom.
Raves: We will happily get our glow on out on the dance floor. We can provide dancers, hoop, glow staff and poi spinning to enhance the aesthetic of your rave.
Drum Circles: Our dancers are used to performing regularly to live music. We can definitely add to your Con’s number of dancing ladies attending as well as adding to the sound with professional world music ensamble Il Troubadore.
Fire Arts: Feeling daring? We can happily provide a fire show performed by YGP creators Kentucky Fried Geeks: Hadara and Dani Rose. Prepare to be dazzled by a spectacle of fire staff, poi, fans, belt and a few other blazing tricks up our sleeve.
Panels: All of our performers are professionals. Not only are they entertainers but they are instructors in their own communities as well. We offer numerous bellydance panels and instruction in yoga. Specialty classes such as poi and hoop can also be provided upon request. We do have some loaner poi and hoops available and these hand made items can also be purchased from our table.
Vending: Yard Gnome Productions™ is not just limited to entertainment. Our artists not only have their performance art but they have their craftacular art as well. We provide a vast selection of costuming, music, art, jewelry and other hand crafted gems.
Appearances: YGP strives to have a professional and aesthetically pleasing overall appearance. Our costuming is custom created by each individual to reflect their own unique taste in style and fandom. Need an extra judge at that costume contest or perhaps a last minute act to perform at your VIP party? We are used to improv and are here to help you in any way possible.
